I don't know if any of you are still actually out there after all this time of absence, but if you are, then thank you. What a whirlwind my life has been over the last few months; sit tight, make yourself comfortable and I'll tell you all about it!
So, as you may well have noticed, I disappeared. But I didn't just go quiet, oh no, I actually went away with Camp America to live and work in beautiful Santa Cruz, California, for 3 months and then did some travelling for 3 weeks before making my way home. I have to tell you, it is the most incredible thing I have ever done and I will be ever grateful for the experiences I had and the people I met along the way.
It wasn't particularly easy to leave my job and pack up a life here but I had my sights set on new horizons and having had (I think it's fair to say) a pretty rough few months prior to my travels, a sense of adventure and change of scenery was definitely needed.
But here I am, post-adventure and back in Leeds, typing away to update you all on life. I think posting everything onto one huge post may be a bit too much, so I will probably continue and do a few separate posts on what I did at Camp itself and the various cities and states I visited (Santa Cruz - CA, Vegas - NV, Grand Canyon - AZ, LA Hollywood - CA, LA Venice Beach - CA, New York City, NY), but for now I just wanted to say a big loud HELLO!
I'm sorry I couldn't be in touch any sooner, Camp's social media policy was incredibly tight - obviously I was working with children so all for good reason - but I had to kind of hide away until I got home. I'll leave you with a few photos below, but the rest are still yet to come.
