J A E G E R | SS17 LOOKBOOK

I'd like to start today's post with a huge thank you to the Harrogate store of Jaeger for inviting me to cover their latest pack launches of the new SS17 ranges. There are three packages that have been so far launched; Pastels, Nautical Stripe and Botanical Colour Block.

I think it's pretty clear to see which of the three packages were most 'me', but there were certainly pieces from across the collections that made me think INIIML, and definitely something for everyone.

     

For those of you who may not know too much about Jaeger (that would be the clothing brand, not the drink), they're an immensely proud to be British brand with a reputation of timeless, classic and well structured investment pieces that will just last and last in your wardrobe without ever dating. Pioneering since 1884, it's fair to say that over the years Jaeger know their stuff and have justified the hefty premium price tag that comes with their pieces, showing durability and practicality in contemporary and creative capsules.

INIIML pieces for me are the pieces of clothing that really do make you say, 'I need it in my life', and without fail Jaeger's new collections had me lusting over luxurious silks, wools and leathers like never before. So without further rabble, please have a browse through my favourite pieces put together into a lookbook video below, with some extra looks and my top picks further below.

  

And if I HAD to choose 3 top pieces you ask? Well it would most definitely be the below look; 

DENIM: These straight leg, raw hem jeans are incredible! 100% cotton for comfort and quality, with a higher rise waist to hide all those lumps and bumps you're not too sure of are a definite winner. I've styled mine with my green sock boots that come higher than the average pair of ankle boots, but in warmer climates I'd be sure to team these with a good ol'pair of white sneaks. 

SHIRT: This shirt captured my heart from first glance of walking into the store. Simple, understated and classic - an obvious INIIML investment pieces that sings premium. When it comes to shirting, I genuinely believe you're better paying that higher price point for such a simple item to ensure it showcases and dresses your look without looking plain or bland. A clean cut shirt should be able to be a statement piece in it's own right. 

LEATHER: The jacket of DREAMS. I'd never really considered a blue jacket before and certainly not a leather one at that... but something about this jacket just got me. Perhaps the blue detracts from the hefty average black biker and sets it aside from the rest. Navy, as we know, is always an essential when it comes to spring/summer so why not step it up a notch and lay your black classic to rest over warmer months and rock this beautiful blue. You can thank me later. Or Jaeger... definitely thank Jaeger. Jacket of dreams - you're on my list.
